>[DEPARTURE] (2016)

This short film presents a dystopian vision of the future, where a young girl appears to journey through different places each day—yet, in truth, she never leaves. Her entire world exists within her mind, sustained by advanced technology. The narrative explores the blurred line between reality and virtual experience, suggesting that any perceived reality, virtual or not, becomes our truth.

Created in 2016 as my final project at Sheridan College's Computer Animation program, the film was directed and produced by me.

Music by Liam West. Voice performance by Kim Cyr.
